The Dirty Secret "Fitness Pros" Won't Tell You Why using your own body is the best, fastest, and most effective way to get into rip-roarin' shape. With TONS of glowing reviews and success stories flooding our office every day about my "15 Minute Hell" bodyweight workout, it always seemed that everyone could care less about "HOW" it worked...Just as long as it worked. But as of late, the health magazines, the fitness clubs, minimally qualified personal trainers, and especially the internet, has been flooded with new confounded gadgets, misinformation, and other general bullshit that promise unproven results and generally confuse everyone (even me!). So let's set the record straight. Bodyweight exercises have been used for THOUSANDS of years as the way to functional strength, good looks, and improved mental abilities. Sure, the "elite of the elite" throughout history supplemented their core bodyweight routine with dynamic weighted resistance (A topic for another time), but a pure "callisthenic" routine always remained their core method of physical fitness. No stupid and expensive machines (even if Chuck Norris is selling it!)...No dangerous HEAVY linear lifts (mega weight squats or bench press)...And certainly NOT ridiculous "slow and controlled" single muscle isolation exercises. Explosive, powerful, and functional bodyweight exercises have always been, and still are the hands down BEST answer to getting and maintaining a level of physical fitness that the modern world seems to have forgotten about.
